St. Louis Children's Hospital Action Items:
- Serve patients from all 50 states and more than 80 countries
- Ensure all patients and families receive medical information in their preferred language
- Provide qualified medical interpreters and written translations for patients in 88 languages
- Have accessible library resources in multiple languages for specific illness or condition
- Provide cross-cultural training to SLCH staff members who serve foreign-born patients
- Collaborate with Casa de Salud and Nahed Chapman New American Academy to provide dental, immunization and health screening services to immigrant and refugee populations monthly
- Promote and prioritize diversity, equity and inclusion and provide trainings for all staff members
- Support team members from different nationalities through its Global Connections group
