US Adds to STEM Fields Allowing Foreign Grads to Stay Longer
As reported by the Bloomberg Law, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has expanded the list of STEM degree programs eligible for the Optional Practical Training (OPT) extension, adding 30 new fields. This allows foreign graduates in these fields to work in the U.S. for up to 36 months. The expansion aims to attract and retain global STEM talent to support the U.S. economy and innovation sector.
