Mosaic Project in Morning Edition of St. Louis Business Journal

1. Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will open its Shiloh restaurant, its first location in the Metro East, on June 14 at 10:30 a.m. The company's 91-year-old cofounder, Freddy Simon, will be attending the opening. This is the third St. Louis area restaurant for the Wichita, Kansas-based fast-casual chain.

2. A new study ranks Camden, Missouri, as the best place to live in the state for those on Social Security. Financial tech company Smart Asset completed the study, which looked at factors such as Social Security income, cost of living and tax rates. Rounding out the top five for places in Missouri where Social Security goes the farthest were Benton, Ralls, Stone and Osage, Missouri.

3. Boston-based online fantasy sports startup DraftKings and New York-based FanDuel reportedly are in talks about a merger. The two companies each were valued at more than $1 billion at their heights.

4. Midwest Bank Centre has been named the St. Louis Mosaic Project's fifth ambassador company, recognizing the bank's commitment to welcome foreign-born individuals to the St. Louis region. Other existing local Mosaic Ambassador companies include Monsanto, Thomson Reuters, Next Gen Information Services Inc. and The Bank of Edwardsville.
