Mosaic's Vin Ko featured in St. Louis Business Journal - SLEDP Website
A local soccer lover, the Business Journal takes a look into Vin's personal and professional life.
Mosaic’s Vin Ko was recently featured in St. Louis Business Journal. The son of Chinese immigrants, Ko works tirelessly as Senior Project Manager with St. Louis Mosaic Project to create an inclusive community for immigrants in St. Louis. His typical workday might include meeting with representatives of area universities or colleges, meeting with a small business owner looking to connect to funding and resources, and meeting with an immigrant professional to help connect to a job.
Ko continues to pursue this goal outside of work as an active member of both the Asian and African Chambers of Commerce. He also started St. Louis Pick-Up Soccer, a non-profit which began with an email list of about 40 people and has now grown to over 5,000 soccer enthusiasts who play practically every day of the year. The organization has evolved into a community of not just ethnically, but also socioeconomically diverse people. In addition to great exercise, the experience provides networking opportunities, as local executives play with students, artists, engineers, and other newcomers to St. Louis.
