C-Suite Awards 2021: Anna Crosslin led the region's welcome for new Americans - St. Louis Business Journal
When Anna Crosslin took the helm of International Institute of St. Louis in 1978, it had a mostly part-time staff of nine and annual budget of $120,000. Now the organization has a staff of about 85 and budget of nearly $7 million. The Institute annually helps some 6,000 immigrants and refugees, from 80 countries, integrate into the St. Louis community through English classes, housing and employment assistance, and citizenship preparation. The resettlement of Institute clients near South Grand Boulevard served as a catalyst for the international district there, which Crosslin said is one of her most proud accomplishments.
